A Nonprofit Organization Providing Aid for First Responders

As an effort to commemorate the line of duty death of Richard Sheltra, the Sheltra Family has made it a mission to mobilize a nonprofit dedicated to aiding first responders across the Carolinas. Together, we consider our labor in the Richard Sheltra Memorial Foundation in Charlotte, NC as a salute to the service of every volunteer. Our connections in the community enable us to make your donation go as far as it can. We also leverage our experience in financial management systems to allocate resources properly.

Achievements Made Possible by Your Donations

Through the continued support from our community, our organization has been able to provide gear and financial assistance for volunteers in North Carolina.

In 2017, we aided the Pine Terrace Fire Department with their rebuilding efforts after the flooding of Hurricane Matthew.

The following year, we had been able to help more volunteers. We awarded two $1000.00 scholarships, assisted in the rebuilding efforts of Autryville Fire Department, and awarded $15,000.00 for Spindale Fire Department’s personal protective equipment (PPE) funding.

During 2019, we awarded a $15,000.00 grant to East Gaston Volunteer Fire Department for the purchase of PPE and granted $4,000.00 in scholarships.
